For those families who will be with us in August and have completed the 2020-2021 enrollment process, we happily announce our Gator Summer Series.
While we certainly encourage you to give your children plenty of opportunities to stay away from the screen and get outdoors observing safety protocols, we also want to give them the opportunity to stay connected with some of our amazing teachers who will volunteer some of their summer hours.
For registration, please click on the image or title of the course you are interested, fill out the form and the teacher will be sending access to the course information to the e-mail provided in the form.

Animamos que este verano los niños aprovechen y se despeguen de las pantallas y salgan, siempre observando los protocolos de seguridad instaurados, pero también queremos darles la oportunidad de mantenerse conectados con algunos de nuestros maravillosos profesores que servirán voluntariamente algunas de sus horas de verano.

Summer Library
PK – 4th grade
With access to our virtual Library you will have the opportunity to listen to some of our school teachers reading stories for your children. Hope your child will enjoy it! Happy Summer!
Scratch
3rd-5th grade
Scratch is designed to be fun, educational, and easy to learn. It has tools for creating interactive stories, games, art, simulations, and more, using block-based programming similar to connecting Lego pieces. Scratch also has its own paint editor and sound editor built-in.
“Get to the Other Side”
In this particular project we will create a game that deals with a character that needs to go from one side of the screen to the other to reach its objective. The problem is, all of the obstacles the character has to avoid while trying to obtain its goal.
Writing Workshop
6th-7th grade
Throughout these next two weeks students will be focusing on grammar skills (using IXL Language) and the Six plus one traits of writing.
Goal: To enhance the writing and language skills of current 5th and 6th graders.
Focus group: present 5th and 6th grade students
Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 11 am to 12:pm
Starting date : Tuesday, June 30th, 2020
Students need to have an email account.
Photoshop desde Cero
7th-12th grade
Conocer la herramienta de Adobe Photoshop desde cero, desde la creación y reconocimiento de un area de trabajo en Photoshop, formatos y el porqué de los mismos, pasando por diseño, retoque y dibujo vectorial hasta diseño y composición para presentación de trabajos. Todo esto va a ser cubierto en 12 horas de clases en un período de tres semanas, dos días por semana. Pare este curso es necesario 1 computadora, tener instalado el Adobe Photoshop por lo que a los que no lo tengan tienen que descargarlo; en la página de https://www.adobe.com/ creativecloud/plans.html esta licencia cuesta de USD 9.99 y es válida por un mes.

The goal for this course is to reinforce basic concepts taught in Algebra 2 in order to facilitate the transition to Pre-Calculus 1.
Content:
1. Solving equations and inequalities
2. Linear equations and functions
3. Quadratic functions and factoring
4. Polynomials and polynomial functions

11th grade
The goal for this course is to offer 11th grade students with the opportunity to review basic skills necessary for Trigonometry and Calculus.
Content:
1. Functions and their graphs
2. Polynomial and rational functions
3. Exponential functions
4. Logarithmic functions
Geopolítica de Latinoamérica y el Caribe
9th-12 grade
Una especie de encuentros durante una semana para debatir diferentes aspectos de la actualidad sobre los paises del area referente a los desafíos que deberán enfrentar nuestros países en un futuro cercano.
Fine Arts
Estaremos impartiendo clases de maquillaje profesional para teatro así como el desarrollo de personajes para las obras, durante las tres primeras semanas de julio, clases serán consecutivas, de manera que las clases de lunes y martes funcionan como un módulo de dos días, y de la misma manera las de miércoles y jueves funcionan como el módulo siguiente. Se trabajarán: The Mask, The Mad
