Given the global situation of the pandemic, many important activities that happen only in the senior year have been snatched away from our senior class, including the senior farewell. For clear and obvious reasons, the traditional breakfast and goodbye couldn’t take place, nevertheless, we, Juniors, had to make it happen one way one another and arranged a surprise zoom meeting and deliver some cupcakes to their houses personally.
In the zoom call, Sofia Rivero served as moderator of the whole event, she gave the word to Ms. Gygax who made a beautiful prayer dedicated to the Seniors, Juniors and all the Ashton community.
Ms. Torres had the chance to talk with the Seniors and wish them good luck. When she finished the Junior Class President, Christian Cortina, and the vice-president Maria Herrera, of the Junior class made a speech dedicated to Dicentia (speech available here).
The Juniors presented videos made for DICENTIA, first the video of the teachers saying their goodbyes and then a video made by the 2021 students. This was a really emotional and satisfactory day since we could see how happy and grateful they were because of the surprise.
