Aula HOPE students have been taking online classes during the pandemic and Ashton students have joined efforts with the help of Aula HOPE Delegates to collect food for them to eat while at home. During the Christmas break our community traditionally donates from what they have in stock and group items by grade level. These donations come in school and are prepared into boxes by the Student Council.
During the pandemic, one of our students thought that Aula HOPE students have been at home, having breakfast and a meal from their parents salaries (already stretched by the current events). She contacted the CARISMA mothers (Delegates who have taken Aula HOPE under their wing) and they reached out to the delegates of the school. In just a few days donations have been delivered to this student home where they will pack and deliver on Tuesday, May 26th at Aula HOPE the bags with a special gift from ASPAS: two reusable fabric face mask for the children.
